I started last month’s email to all of you with this paragraph below.

I hope this email finds you well and refreshed after last Tuesday’s election results. I was thrilled to see the record voter turnout and support for Dems and the enthusiasm to push back against tRump and his agenda. This momentum needs to be nurtured and continue to grow all the way to the midterms. I believe you, our Democratic party and the M&A Caucus will do just that.

This week, we witnessed more Dem election wins, like the newly elected mayor of Miami, 

Eileen Higgins, becoming the first Democrat to be elected to this position since 1997. These wins are reasons to be excited for the future and like I said above “I believe you, our Democratic party and the M&A Caucus will do just that. 🤠 ” 

I know this time of year, that time is in short supply, but M&A Caucus Chair Seghetti and I hope you can join us for our regular monthly meeting for what should be another great meeting and discussion. William Anderson, Chief of Staff for the DNC Black Caucus will be a special guest on Saturday, graciously taking time out from the DNC meeting in Los Angeles to join our Zoom.

Below, I have attached the agenda as well as the Zoom link for Saturday’s meeting. I apologize that I do not have last month’s minutes available at this time. When available they will be posted on this website.

One last request, this time of year is filled with joy for lots of our friends and neighbors and I hope it is for you also. Unfortunately, not all of us share in that joy and are struggling to survive. If you can, donate your time, clothing, food, money to a local organization to help your communities ease the hardships of our least fortunate neighbors. Sometimes, even just a kind word and/or hug goes a long way to help people feel better.
