All Those in favor of democracy, say Aye

This year’s presidential election is one of the most important elections because democracy is being challenged. It is important that the next U.S. president is committed to supporting democracy and not destroy it.

I am supporting Joe Biden because he has demonstrated he supports democracy. Donald Trump has repeatedly indicated that he intends to embrace authoritarianism if he is reelected to the presidency.

Trump has paraphrased Adolf Hitler’s horrifying, fascistic policy ideas. He has joked about being a dictator on the first day if elected. Trump’s closest congressional allies presently in Congress have indicated they would support his efforts and to keep him in power.

I am supporting Pres. Joe Biden for reelection because of his accomplishments and his desire to continue our democracy. Biden has demonstrated his abilities to be a leader in the United States as well as a world leader, supporting our allies across the globe.

Biden lowered the costs of everyday expenses for families. More people are working than at any time in America. He rescued the economy and changed the course of the pandemic. He has been instrumental in rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure.

He has rallied support for Ukraine against Putin’s attacks to take over Ukraine. Ukraine is of world importance because of its agricultural capabilities. If Ukraine is taken over by Russia, many countries will have limited availability of food.

There has been an increase of people obtaining health insurance.

In my opinion, democracy in the United States is at stake if Biden isn’t reelected. I encourage voters to read several different sources of national news to ensure all the perils that face our nation are addressed and the best candidate to handle these perils is elected.
